A Ladies Club was formed in Whonnock in 1911 to build and operate a hall—the Ladies Hall. The hall was completed in 1912 and served our community for about half a century. In 1918 it was renamed Whonnock Memorial Hall in memory of those who did not come back from the 1914-1918 war. The building was demolished in 1979.
